We had to add these "claim" links because of several outstanding facebook bugs:
Posting to groups sometimes errors but then still posts without a photo, in sale format: https://developers.facebook.com/support/bugs/1256001931229064
Facebook Page cannot send private replies: https://developers.facebook.com/support/bugs/301893670508292/
Cannot enable Facebook Page due to Permission error: https://developers.facebook.com/support/bugs/376225286262853/
That being said, we just updated the claim process so in 95% of the previous cases, the "claim" link is NO LONGER needed!
For the remaining 5%, I am updating the verbiage to say:
"Please go to <claim link> and Login with Facebook to confirm your account."

Yes, the current default claim message is confusing and provides too much friction upfront. We just want the customer to click the link and login with Facebook, so the message should say "Please go to (link) and login with Facebook to confirm your order." There doesn't need to be any mention of creating an account or "automatically cart" in this message- that stuff will happen organically when the customer clicks the link- but we want to motivate them to click the link first- and the motivation is that they're confirming the order they just placed. Thanks!

Bradley Markham: totally agreed, I made that change just now
