  • Confirm there are not already settings or features that do what the shop is asking for:- Confirmed. Currently, when a payment fails for waitlisted or pre-authorized items, the system automatically removes those items from the cart to make them available to other customers. There is no setting to keep failed pre-authorized items in the cart.
  • What does the shop want the product to do:- The shop wants pre-authorized/waitlisted items to remain in the customer's cart even if the payment fails, rather than automatically removing them.
  • Why/how would it improve sales or efficiency:- This allows customers to easily complete their purchase using another payment method once their issue is resolved (e.g., trying a different card, retrying the next day, or getting approved through Riskified fraud review), preventing lost sales and reducing cart abandonment for pre-orders.
