The shop is using ShipStation for their shipments. They want to sync the Customer Order Notes from CommentSold to ShipStation along with the order details. Currently, CommentSold does not sync these notes to ShipStation. As a result, the fulfillment team cannot check specific details or complete "needful things" (special requests) that the customer asked for without manually checking back in CommentSold. This leads to customer requests and shipping notes ultimately becoming lost or ignored during the packing process.
The integration should automatically push Customer Order Notes from CommentSold into the corresponding "Internal Note" or "Customer Note" fields in ShipStation when the order is created. This would allow the warehouse team to see these instructions immediately within ShipStation.
How would it improve sales or efficiency :-
  • Operational Efficiency: It eliminates the need for the shop to manually pull a report from CommentSold or open each order individually within the CS dashboard just to check if a customer submitted a note.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensures that specific customer instructions (e.g., gate codes, gift messages, packaging requests) are seen and honored by the fulfillment team.
  • Streamlined Workflow: Allows the shipping team to work entirely within ShipStation without toggling back and forth between platforms.
